Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol.
Note: If you have any special requirement for the glycerol content, please remark when you place the order.
If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
3-7 business days
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Description

The recombinant Human YPEL3 was expressed with the amino acid range of 1-119. The calculated molecular weight for this YPEL3 protein is 29.6 kDa. This protein is generated in a e.coli-based system. The N-terminal 6xHis-SUMO tag was smoothly integrated into the coding gene of YPEL3, which enables a simple process of detecting and purifying the YPEL3 recombinant protein in the following steps.

YPEL3, discovered in 2004, belongs to a family of Yippee proteins, comprising five members with conservation observed across various species, even extending to slime molds. YPEL3 has been recognized as a target gene of p53, demonstrating growth-suppressive characteristics by promoting senescence and apoptosis in diverse situations. It plays an important role in tumorigenesis. Numerous studies have shown that YPEL3 inhibits tumor growth, proliferation, and metastasis across various cancer types, including breast tumors and colon tumors.

Target Background

Function
Involved in proliferation and apoptosis in myeloid precursor cells.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Expression of the YPEL3 gene was upregulated in human colonic adenocarcinoma tissue. PMID: 29988027
  2. Data show that YPEL3 is downregulated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cell lines and tissue samples and it suppresses NPC EMT and metastasis by suppressing the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway. PMID: 27400785
  3. YPEL3 expression, which is induced by the removal of estrogen or treatment with tamoxifen triggers cellular senescence in MCF-7 cells while loss of YPEL3 increases the growth rate of MCF-7 cells. PMID: 21671470
  4. YPEL3 is downregulated in colon tumors. PMID: 21267786
  5. In this review we show that transcriptionally active forms of p73 and p63, family members of p53, can transactivate the human YPEL3 gene[review] PMID: 21196260
  6. Findings point to YPEL3 being a novel tumor suppressor, which upon induction triggers a permanent growth arrest in human tumor and normal cells. PMID: 20388804
