Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Description

The expression region of this recombinant Human XPNPEP1 covers amino acids 2-623. This XPNPEP1 protein is expected to have a theoretical molecular weight of 85.8 kDa. The XPNPEP1 protein was expressed in e.coli. The N-terminal 6xHis-SUMO tag was fused into the coding gene segment of XPNPEP1, making it easier to detect and purify the XPNPEP1 recombinant protein in the later stages of expression and purification.

Human Xaa-Pro aminopeptidase 1 (XPNPEP1), also known as aminopeptidase P, belongs to the M1 family of metallopeptidases. XPNPEP1 primarily functions in the hydrolysis of amino-terminal amino acid residues from peptides, particularly those with Xaa-Pro or Xaa-Ala sequences. It plays a role in the regulation of bioactive peptides and has been implicated in various physiological processes, including blood pressure regulation and sodium homeostasis. XPNPEP1 is expressed in tissues such as the kidney, where it participates in the degradation of peptides involved in these processes.
