Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
On ligand binding, forms a receptor complex consisting of two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. Receptor for BMP7/OP-1. Receptor for GDF5. Positively regulates chondrocyte differentiation through GDF5 interaction.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Study concludes that growth/differentiation factor-5 (GDF-5) protects hippocampal neurons against kainic acid-induced neurodegeneration by signaling through bone morphogenetic protein receptor type IB, suggesting a therapeutic potential for GDF-5 in neurodegenerative diseases. PMID: 28458020
  2. dermal BMPRIB+ cells possessed a similar osteogenic differentiation potential with BMSCs in a mouse model. Dermal BMPRIB+ subpopulations possessed low immunogenicity and immunosuppressive properties before and after osteogenic differentiation. PMID: 27552226
  3. BMPR1B plays distinct roles from BMPR1A and ACVR1 in maintaining bone mass and transducing BMP signaling PMID: 27048979
  4. Local administration of adenovirus expressing siRNA-targeting BMPR-IB may be a feasible and effective therapeutic candidate to treat or prevent wear debris-associated osteolysis. PMID: 22827452
  5. Type Ib BMP receptors mediate the rate of commissural axon extension through inhibition of cofilin activity PMID: 23250207
  6. the BMP-2-BMPR-IB-ODAM-MAPK signaling cascade has important roles in ameloblast differentiation and enamel mineralization PMID: 22213140
  7. Variation in BMPR1B is associated with dizygotic twinning. PMID: 21962132
  8. results indicate a requirement for BMP signaling in generating the dorsalmost neuronal lineage of the telencephalon, DG granule neurons, and in the development of the stem cell niche that makes neurons in the adult hippocampus. PMID: 20445055
  9. TbetaRIII enhanced ALK6-mediated stimulation of the BMP-responsive promoters XVent2 & 3GC2, & up-regulation of the early-response gene Smad6. Interaction with ALK6 required both the extracellular & cytoplasmic domains. PMID: 19726563
  10. effects of loss of one of the BMP receptors, the BmprIb, on the development of the eye by using targeted deletion PMID: 12654290
  11. signaling through bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) type 1 receptors is required for the formation of two populations of commissural neurons, DI1 and DI2 PMID: 15469980
  12. Data demonstrate that the osteogenic commitment of multipotent mouse adipose-derived adult stromal cells requires retinoic acid, which enhances expression of the critical bone morphogenetic protein receptor-IB isoform. PMID: 16894153
  13. HGF up-regulates the expression of the bone morphogenetic protein receptors, BMPR-IB and BMPR-II, in prostate cancer cells PMID: 17203235
  14. the combination of constitutively active activin receptor-like kinase 6 (caALK6) and Runx2 efficiently induced osteogenic differentiation in various cell types, including terminally differentiated nonosteogenic cells PMID: 17317722
  15. Expression of BMP receptors Ib and II, and Smads 4, 5, 6, and 8, was downregulated in lungs but not kidneys of MCT-treated rats. PMID: 17347486
  16. BMPRs-Ib, -II, the activin receptor-1 (ActR-1) and the phosphorylated Smad1 were detected in DF and HERS at D6 and later more diffusely in the periodontium. BMPR-Ia detection was restricted to alveolar bone. PMID: 17662325
  17. crystals consisted of the full ternary complex GDF5-BRIB-ActRIIB, but only diffracted to low resolution PMID: 19652338
