Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Regulates mitogenic signal transduction by dephosphorylating both Thr and Tyr residues on MAP kinases ERK1 and ERK2.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Data provide evidence that repression of the ERK inhibitor DUSP4 by BMI1 is dependent on a more accessible chromatin configuration in G4 MB cells with low CHD7 expression. PMID: 29212025
  2. study suggests that MKP-2 is essential to the pathogenic response of EAE, and it acts mainly via regulating the important antigen presenting DC function and T cell activation. PMID: 27958388
  3. domain-mapping results showed that both the substrate-interacting and the phosphatase domains of DUSP4 were required for its optimal interaction with STAT5, while the coiled-coil domain of STAT5 appeared to hinder this interaction PMID: 26710253
  4. MKP-2 knock-out mice show deficits in working memory and spatial reference. PMID: 26911683
  5. DUSP4 is crucial for neuronal differentiation and functions in the neurogenesis of embryonic stem cells. PMID: 25397900
  6. MKP-1 and MKP-2 stability is regulated by ERK-mediated phosphorylation through a degradation pathway independent of polyubiquitination PMID: 25204653
  7. Loss of MKP-2 expression is associated with enhanced susceptibility to parasite infection. PMID: 23966857
  8. LH/hCG tightly regulates MKP-2 expression, which modulates the induction of CYP11A1 by 8Br-cAMP. PMID: 23471219
  9. Dusp1 and Dusp4 are cardioprotective genes that play a critical role in the heart by dampening p38 MAPK signaling that would otherwise reduce contractility and induce cardiomyopathy. PMID: 22993413
  10. Loss of MKP-2 regulates early inflammation in acute lung injury. PMID: 22683570
  11. Increased DUSP4 expression in activated T cells in the elderly in part accounts for defective adaptive immune responses. PMID: 22434910
  12. protein deficiency enhances CD25 expression and CD4+ T-cell proliferation without impeding T-cell development PMID: 22101742
  13. a critical non-redundant role for MKP-2 in regulating cell cycle progression and apoptosis. PMID: 21317287
  14. These data support a mechanism by which MKP-2 targets ERK deactivation, thereby decreasing MKP-1 and thus removing the negative inhibition of MKP-1 on cytokine production. PMID: 20351138
  15. E2F-1 is a transcriptional activator of MKP-2 and MKP-2 is an essential cell death mediator in the E2F-1 pathway PMID: 17452331
  16. MKP-2 may play a crucial role in oncogenic signaling downstream of mutant RET, leading to deregulation of cell cycle. PMID: 18542059
  17. Mediates transforming growth factor beta-dependent apoptosis by linking SMAD3 to the modulation of extracellular signal-regulated mitogen-activated protein kinase activity and pro-apoptotic events. PMID: 18704116
