Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
3-7 business days
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4℃ for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Inhibits urokinase-type plasminogen activator. The monocyte derived PAI-2 is distinct from the endothelial cell-derived PAI-1. Not required for normal murine development or survival.
Gene References into Functions
  1. This study establishes a novel role for SerpinB2 in the stromal compartment in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma invasion through regulation of stromal remodelling PMID: 28346421
  2. Data suggest that the function of keratinocyte SerpinB2 is protection of the stratum corneum from proteolysis via inhibition of urokinase, thereby maintaining the integrity and barrier function of the stratum corneum, particularly during times of skin inflammation PMID: 27109612
  3. SerpinB2 plays an important role in proteostas PMID: 26083412
  4. PAI-2 is a novel regulator of venous thrombus resolution, which modulates several pathways involving both inflammatory and uPA activity mechanisms, distinct from PAI-1 PMID: 25041188
  5. SerpinB2 has previously been implicated as a mediator of DMBA/TPA-induced skin carcinogenesis PMID: 25489104
  6. The presence of SerpinB2 on the surface of MPs provides a physiological mechanism whereby cancer cell SerpinB2 can reach the extracellular milieu and access urokinase plasminogen activator (uPA). PMID: 24644264
  7. Brain metastatic cells from lung cancer and breast cancer express high levels of anti-plasminogen activator (PA) serpins, including neuroserpin and serpin B2, to prevent plasmin generation and its metastasis-suppressive effects. PMID: 24581498
  8. C/EBP-beta mediates both constitutive and LPS-induced serpinB2 mRNA expression in mouse embryonic fibroblasts and inflammatory primary macrophages. PMID: 23472114
  9. Depletion PAI-2 resulted in NLRP3- and ASC-dependent caspase-1 activation and IL-1beta secretion in macrophages upon Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) and TLR4 engagement. PMID: 24043792
  10. SerpinB2 can be induced by lentiviral infection in vivo. PMID: 23460840
  11. immune regulation of SerpinB2 expression plays a critical role in the development of Th2-mediated protective immunity against nematode infection by a mechanism involving CCL2 production and macrophage infiltration. PMID: 23630350
  12. PAI-2 and TG2 are downstream mediators in the antiapoptotic response triggered upon TBK1 activation. PMID: 22203995
  13. Data show that regulation of Th1 responses thus appears to be a physiological function of inflammation-associated SerpinB2. PMID: 20130210
  14. during differentiation of epidermal keratinocyte, PAI-2 expresses mainly in the more differentiated keratinocytes and may protect the terminal differentiated keratinocytes from prematuration through inhibiting involucrin expression in cornified envelope PMID: 15050365
  15. PAI-2 promotes adipose tissue development in mice via a mechanism independent of its antifibrinolytic effect PMID: 17958744
  16. SerpinB2 is a cell survival factor that modulates Rb repression of proapoptotic signal transduction PMID: 18632617
