Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol.
Note: If you have any special requirement for the glycerol content, please remark when you place the order.
If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

 Q&A
Q:

I have found a paper describing the preparation of mouse recombinant protein of spermine oxidase in E. coli, and they reported the retaining of bioactivity. The paper is attached. Could you please check if you are using a similar approach for purification and isolation? It will give me more confidence to purchase your protein.
Also please send me some informations for the E.coli expressed spermine oxidase.
Have you received any customer feedback regarding reactivity of this protein? Please can you help me to answer the customer about the similarity of the production procedure?

A:
Very nice to receive your inquiry.
Actually, this protein (CSB-EP021844MO) is one of our best-selling products, which has been ordered many times by other customers, and no complaints about it up to now.Since what we provide is the full length protein, and it's purified under very mild condition, so it should be active, however, as we haven't validated, so we can't 100% guarantee its activity.
We also haven't received any feedback about the activity from other customers. I can send you the COA of the previous Lot for your reference.
As we have successfully expressed this protein before, but we didn't use a similar approach for production as introduced in the paper.
If you need us to produce the protein according to the similar approach introduced in the paper, we can choose pet22b or pet26b vector to construct a new vector, these two vectors (pet22b or pet26b) are similar to the pet25b vector that is mentioned in the paper, which contain the pelB signal peptide, the target gene can be localized in the periplasm of the cell during the protein expression. But as we need to constrcut a new expression vector, so the prices and lead time will change.
The culture condition and other purification and isolation methods will be the same as in the paper, but you should remark this requirement when placing the order.
Q:

I want to know if there will be an extra fee if I want to remove the N-terminal tag after the purification.

A:
Thanks for your inquiry. Please remark your requirement for tag removal if you need the untagged protein or tag removal when placing the order.
Sorry, we haven't tried to remove the tag before. We can try enzyme digestion, but we can't guarantee 100% successfully.
The overall success rate of enzyme digestion data analysis is 75%-86%.
* Not all protein tags can be removed as some proteins will be very unstable after tag removal.
* If we succeed in removing the tag, we will charge for extra cost.
* If we fail in removing the tag, we won’t charge for tag removal and provide the fusion protein, and remark this information in datasheet as follows
“Note: The laboratory determined that the Tag on your protein could not be removed with standard laboratory procedures. Your protein is being supplied with the Tag intact.”
* Generally, the delivery time will be extended for 3 days.
Q:

We are interested in your CAT# CSB-EP021844MO.
We are interested in Tag Removal Service.
Please provide estimated lead time for with and without Tag Removal Service.

Target Background

Function
Flavoenzyme which catalyzes the oxidation of spermine to spermidine. Can also use N(1)-acetylspermine and spermidine as substrates, with different affinity depending on the isoform (isozyme) and on the experimental conditions. Plays an important role in the regulation of polyamine intracellular concentration and has the potential to act as a determinant of cellular sensitivity to the antitumor polyamine analogs. May contribute to beta-alanine production via aldehyde dehydrogenase conversion of 3-amino-propanal.
