Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Receptor for arginine vasopressin. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate a phosphatidyl-inositol-calcium second messenger system.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Data indicate the upregulation of vasopressin receptor 1 (V1R) expression on hepatocytes upon liver ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI). PMID: 27713143
  2. Data identify specific brain areas that may be a part of a neural circuit that includes Avpr1b-expressing cells in the CA2 region of the hippocampus. It is thought that this circuit, when working properly, plays a role in how an animal evaluates its social context. PMID: 27881080
  3. Data show that cryptochrome Cry1 and Cry2 expression must be circadian and appropriately phased to support rhythms, and arginine vasopressin (AVP) receptor signaling is required to impose circuit-level circadian function. PMID: 26903624
  4. The data of this study indicate that the hippocampal CA2 is important for attacking in response to a male intruder and that the Avpr1b, likely through its role in regulating CA2 synaptic plasticity, is a necessary mediator PMID: 24863146
  5. this study found that circadian rhythms of behavior (locomotor activity), clock gene expression, and body temperature immediately reentrained to phase-shifted light-dark cycles in mice lacking vasopressin receptors V1a and V1b (V1a(-/-)V1b(-/-)). PMID: 24092737
  6. vasopressin V1b receptor is involved in the mediation of anxious behavior of animals but is not involved in the mechanism underlying the influence of negative psychoemotional state on Lewis lung carcinoma metastasis PMID: 21956463
  7. distribution and functional studies of the Avpr1b have established its major role in the pituitary where it plays a pivotal part in the regulation of the HPA response to stress, and in particular to acute stress[review] PMID: 20828336
  8. These findings suggest that while Avpr1b -/- mice may be able to form dominance hierarchies they appear to employ alternate strategies. PMID: 20298692
  9. Overexpression of the V3 vasopressin receptor in transgenic mice corticotropes leads to increased basal corticosterone. PMID: 12213135
  10. mice without the V1bR exhibit markedly reduced aggression and modestly impaired social recognition. PMID: 12399951
  11. the V1b receptor plays a crucial role in regulating hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis activity PMID: 14722621
  12. We found especially prominent Avpr1b expression within the CA2 pyramidal neurons of the hippocampus, with much lower expression in the hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus and amygdala. PMID: 17027167
  13. Avpr1b is required for the normal pituitary and adrenal response to some acute stressful stimuli and is necessary only for a normal ACTH response during chronic stress. PMID: 17122081
  14. Avpr1b plays an important role in the central processing that couples the detection and perception of social cues PMID: 17284170
  15. stress responsive AVP/V1b receptor systems may be critical components of the neural circuitry underlying the aversive emotional consequences of drug withdrawal. PMID: 17443128
  16. Thus, the findings suggest that the V(1b) receptor may be, at least in part, involved in body water balance and body temperature regulation. PMID: 17512263
  17. Fasting plasma glucose, insulin and glucagon levels were lower in V1bR(-/-) mice. Insulin-stimulated phosphorylation of Akt was increased in their adipocytes. PMID: 17673508
  18. V2r1b vomeronasal sensory neurons responded to prolonged depolarization with persistent, but adapting discharge that could be relevant in sensory adaptation PMID: 17715188
  19. Both Oxt and the Avpr1b are critical for the normal expression of the Bruce effect. PMID: 17947352
  20. Results indicate that Avpr1b null mutant mice are impaired in the modulation of ultrasonic vocalizations within different social contexts at infant and adult ages. PMID: 18005969
  21. A functional Avpr1b is required for an intact pituitary ACTH response to acute and chronic stressors. PMID: 18363802
  22. The gene expression of the OT receptor was higher in the anterior pituitary gland of V1bR-/- mice than in that of V1bR+/+ mice, suggesting that the OT receptor is up-regulated to compensate for ACTH release under conditions of V1b deficiency PMID: 18583426
  23. Avpr1b may be important for the formation or recall of memories that have an olfactory-based social component. PMID: 18655872
  24. Here, we investigate the lipid metabolism in V(1B)R(-/-) mice. PMID: 19068213
  25. Avpr1b, perhaps in hippocampus area CA2, may play a highly specific role in social behavior and episodic memory PMID: 19261862
  26. effects of vasopressin V(1B) receptor deficiency could not influence the development of hyperglycemia promoted by vasopressin V(1A) receptor deficiency, and that blockade of both receptors could lead to impaired glucose tolerance PMID: 19375419
  27. these findings confirm the importance of the Avpr1b to normal displays of social forms of aggressive behavior. PMID: 19419666
