Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Hyperpolarization-activated ion channel with very slow activation and inactivation exhibiting weak selectivity for potassium over sodium ions. May contribute to the native pacemaker currents in heart (If) that regulate the rhythm of heart beat. May contribute to the native pacemaker currents in neurons (Ih). May mediate responses to sour stimuli.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Data suggest that HCN channels might play an important role in affecting contraction frequency of lymphatic muscle cells. PMID: 27496876
  2. the expression and relative abundances of HCN channels in cerebellum and primary cultures of cerebellar granule neurons, is described. PMID: 27569278
  3. involved in microwave-induced heart pacemaker cell injuries PMID: 26695361
  4. Spironolactone increased miRNA-1 expression in myocardium after myocardial infarction. Upregulation of miRNA-1 expression contributed to the posttranscriptional repression of HCN2/4 expression. PMID: 26065643
  5. The results of this study indicated that HCN4 subunits are expressed in several populations of spinal and hippocampal interneurons. PMID: 23357121
  6. The data of this study indicated a HCN subunit shift initiated in the first 24 hours after birth and implicate a prominent perinatal role of the phylogenetically older HCN3 and/or HCN4 subunits in the developing neocortex. PMID: 22694806
  7. first report that Thy1 colocalizes and coimmunoprecipitates with a membrane-spanning protein in retina, that Thy1 complexes with an ion channel protein in any tissue, and that a GPI-anchored protein associates with an HCN channel subunit protein (HDN4) PMID: 22281825
  8. The moderate-intensity HCN4 band density in trigeminal ganglion neurons increased with postnatal age P1-P35. PMID: 21753027
  9. This study demonistrated that the majority of LHb neurons projecting to the monoaminergic brainstem nuclei express a similar pattern of HCN transcripts, with high levels of HCN2 to HCN4 mRNAs and low levels of HCN1 mRNA. PMID: 21798320
  10. Results describe HCN1 and HCN4 immunoreactivity in rat retinal ganglion cells, measure I(h) in dissociated cells, and show that HCN1 and HCN4 proteins colocalize in single retinal ganglion cells. PMID: 21456027
  11. HCN1 and HCN4 in postnatal afferent fibers and HCN1, HCN2, and HCN4 after hearing onset; HCN channels mediate hyperpolarization-activated current (I(h)); results suggest that I(h) is active at rest and shortens EPSPs, potentially improving signaling PMID: 20220080
  12. HCN4 was present in 9% of rat trigeminal ganglion neurons and 4.7% of dorsal root ganglion neurons PMID: 19820968
