Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Plays a role in sequence-specific regulation of nuclear pre-mRNA abundance.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Antisense transcription is specifically suppressed by Nrd1, a yeast termination factor. PMID: 26578558
  2. Nrd1 and Nab3 function is tightly integrated with the nutrient response, and indicates a role for these proteins in the regulation of many mRNA coding genes. PMID: 24393166
  3. Rrp6 acts with the NNS complex globally to promote transcription termination in addition to 3' end RNA processing and/or degradation at specific targets PMID: 25680078
  4. Determination of the solution structure of a two-domain RNA-binding fragment of Nrd1. PMID: 24860164
  5. NRd1 specific interaction with RNA polymerase II C-terminal domain is crucial in choosing RNA polymerase II termination pathway. PMID: 24196955
  6. Study shows that ncRNA transcription in the yeast S. cerevisiae is globally restricted by early termination that relies on the essential RNA-binding factor Nrd1. PMID: 24210918
  7. a multiplicity of interactions is needed to assemble a higher order Nrd1-Nab3 complex that coats specific nascent RNAs in preparation for termination. PMID: 24100036
  8. a role for Nrd1 in regulating the cellular response to nutrient availability PMID: 22431520
  9. structure reveals a direct recognition of pSer5 by Nrd1 that requires the cis conformation of the upstream pSer5-Pro6 peptidyl-prolyl bond of the CTD PMID: 22892239
  10. The results demonstrate that the function of the Tlc1 terminator region depends on the Nrd1/Nab3 transcription termination pathway. PMID: 22379137
  11. We report the resonance assignment of CTD-interacting domain (CID) of pre-mRNA down-regulation (Nrd)1 bound to Ser5-phosphorylated CTD (pSer5) of RNA Polymerase II. PMID: 21350922
  12. both RNA-binding motifs of Nab3 and Nrd1 alone bind their termination elements with a weak affinity. Interestingly, when Nab3 and Nrd1 form a heterodimer, the affinity to RNA is significantly increased due to the cooperative binding. PMID: 21084293
  13. Nrd1 may link transcription and RNA 3' end formation with surveillance by the exosome. PMID: 16427013
  14. NRD1 expression is regulated by Nrd1- and Nab3-directed premature termination. PMID: 16507362
  15. Nrd1 and Nab3 are required for transcription termination of cryptic unstable transcripts (CUTs). PMID: 16973436
  16. The Nrd1p-Nab3p-dependent pathway, involved in transcription termination of sno/snRNAs, is required for efficient degradation of NEL025c RNAs and other cryptic unstable transcripts. PMID: 16973437
