Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Q:

Can you help me to answer them?
CSB-CF887818DOA Recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana Cytochrome P450 86B1(CYP86B1)
We are thinking about ordering this protein. we also tried to purify this protein we tried plasmids of pet28a, petmal with delete 83aa-N-terminate transmembrane peptides. So we really concern about the quality of purified this protein.
One more question, as you purified protein, whether you see it with red color due to its feature of P450 enzyme binding with Heme. we never see red color.

A:
Very nice to receive your inquiry. As you already tried plasmids of pet28a, petmal with delete 83aa-N-terminate transmembrane peptides, and due to its feature of P450 enzyme binding with Heme, you never see red color.
Sorry, this is a semi-custom protein which we haven't expressed before, but we have successfully expressed some Cytochrome P450 series proteins.
For example:
CSB-EP872539HU Recombinant Human Cytochrome P450 4F11(CYP4F11)
CSB-YP006425MO Recombinant Mouse Cytochrome P450 2E1(Cyp2e1)
CSB-EP731056MO Recombinant Mouse Cytochrome P450 3A13(Cyp3a13)
CSB-EP731067RA Recombinant Rat Cytochrome P450 1B1(Cyp1b1)
CSB-CF006391HU Recombinant Human Cytochrome P450 11B2, mitochondrial(CYP11B2)
This protein contains a small fragment of transmembrane domain, our cell free expression platform has mature technology, the main advantage is the expression of transmembrane proteins and toxic proteins.
Therefore, you can be assured about the quality of the protein, we guarantee that the purity of the protein provided is greater than or equal to 85%.
Regarding the red color issue, please refer to the uniprot link: http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9FMY1 and then go into GO - Molecular function, heme binding or iron ion binding (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/QuickGO/term/GO:0020037 or https://www.ebi.ac.uk/QuickGO/term/GO:0005506) all describe that these proteins belong to the cytochrome P450 family, but in this subfamily they lack a critical heme-binding Cys residue. Therefore, they cannot bind iron ions as well.
So we guess that this protein may actually not have the binding function, so there is no color appear, or the color can only appear when adding the corresponding substrate.
In the meantime, what we provide is the full-length protein and they are purified under a very mild condition, so in theory it should be active, but we still can't 100% guarantee its activity.
If you still has some other questions about it, pls feel free to contact us.

Target Background

Function
Involved in very long chain fatty acids (VLCFA) omega-hydroxylation. Required for the synthesis of saturated VLCFA alpha, omega-bifunctional suberin monomers.
Gene References into Functions
  1. CYP86B1 is a very long chain fatty acid hydroxylase specifically involved in polyester monomer biosynthesis during the course of plant development. PMID: 19525321
Subcellular Location
Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Single-pass membrane protein. Note=In vitro import assays suggest an association with the outer chloroplastic membrane; also detected in the chloroplasts of guard cells when expressed in a heterologous system.
Protein Families
Cytochrome P450 family
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in roots endodermis, anthers, stigmas, stomata of young pedicels of inflorescences, the placenta region of siliques, at the level of the hilum in matures seeds, at the junction of siliques to pedicels where abscission of floral parts takes place
