Description

Rabbits were used for generating the SLC39A4 polyclonal antibody. They were injected with the recombinant human Zinc transporter ZIP4 protein (23-327aa), usually mixed with an adjuvant to enhance the immune response. Blood was collected from the immunized rabbit and serum was separated. The serum containing SLC39A4 polyclonal antibody can be purified using antigen affinity chromatography.

The specificity of the SLC39A4 antibody was validated by ELISA, WB, and IHC using human and mouse SLC39A4 protein. SLC39A4, also known as ZIP4, mainly functions to transport zinc ions across cell membranes to maintain zinc homeostasis in various tissues.

Target Background

Function
Plays an important role in cellular zinc homeostasis as a zinc transporter. Regulated in response to zinc availability.
Gene References into Functions
