CXCL7 (RTCK1) drives neutrophil chemotaxis through CXCR2 signaling, making it a key mediator in inflammatory recruitment cascades. This tag-free recombinant rat Ppbp fragment (residues 46–107) represents the mature, processed form of the protein and demonstrates potent chemotactic activity at 0.1–1.0 ng/ml in a CXCR2-transfected BaF3 cell migration assay, providing a suitable basis for chemotaxis and migration studies, CXCR2-dependent MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathway dissection, and in vivo rat inflammation models. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that commonly confound immune cell functional readouts, which supports use in sensitive neutrophil activation assays and as a reference standard in cytokine detection platforms. Produced in *E. coli* with >97% purity by SDS-PAGE, this protein also meets the quality thresholds commonly required for antibody development workflows including immunization, ELISA coating, and Western blot positive controls.
