This tag-free recombinant rat CCL24 (residues 23–119) encompasses the mature protein sequence and demonstrates confirmed biological activity in a chemotaxis bioassay using human peripheral blood eosinophils at 50–250 ng/ml, providing a suitable basis for eosinophil migration assays, CCR3 signaling pathway studies involving MAPK and NF-κB activation, and in vivo rat models of allergic airway inflammation or tissue eosinophilia.
