  1. Tricalbins function as multimers in membrane-trafficking events. TCB2 localizes first to the cell surface, and then to intracellular vesicles near the vacuole. tcb2 mutants have altered vacuole morphology and are hypersensitive to cyclohexamide. PMID: 15141306
  2. TCB2 likely does not bind lipids in response to calcium signaling. Suggested that calcium-insensitive TCB2 may mediate the creation of hetero-oligomeric tricalbin complexes in which TCB1, TCB3, or both supply a calcium-dependent membrane binding activity. PMID: 15049706
