Description

In the production of the sso7d antibody, a rabbit is immunized with recombinant Sulfolobus solfataricus DNA-binding protein sso7d (2-64aa), resulting in the production of IgG antibodies by the rabbit's B lymphocytes. Following this, the polyclonal sso7d antibody is subjected to a thorough purification process using protein A/G. Researchers can use this sso7d antibody to detect Sulfolobus solfataricus sso7d protein in ELISA and WB tests.

The Sulfolobus solfataricus sso7d binds to DNA non-specifically through electrostatic interactions. Sso7d helps to condense and stabilize DNA in extreme conditions, protecting it from harsh environmental factors such as high temperatures, high salinity, and extreme pH. In vitro experiments have demonstrated that sso7d facilitates the annealing of complementary DNA strands, induces negative supercoiling, and chaperones the disassembly and renaturation of protein aggregates in an ATP hydrolysis-dependent manner.
