This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of AGER (Receptor for Advanced Glycation Endproducts, RAGE) in human serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates, supporting immunology and inflammatory disease research. Because soluble RAGE (sRAGE) circulates at low nanogram-to-picogram levels and shifts significantly between health and disease states, accurate quantification across this dynamic range is essential for meaningful biomarker studies.
Detection Range: The 78–5000 pg/mL range spans reported circulating sRAGE concentrations in healthy individuals (~500–1500 pg/mL) and captures the decreased levels observed in diabetic complications and COPD, as well as elevations seen in sepsis and renal failure, minimizing the need for extensive sample dilution or concentration.
Sensitivity: At 19.5 pg/mL, the kit detects sRAGE in samples where levels are markedly suppressed, such as plasma from patients with coronary artery disease or type 2 diabetes, where concentrations can fall well below 500 pg/mL.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates enables researchers to correlate systemic sRAGE levels with local RAGE expression in inflamed or fibrotic tissues, bridging circulating biomarker data with tissue-level mechanistic studies.
Assay Efficiency: Requiring only 50–100 µL per well and 1–5 hours to complete, the kit accommodates limited clinical biobank specimens and supports same-day results across multi-cohort studies.
