Precision

Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%

Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.

Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%

Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Linearity

To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human retinoic acid in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Description

Retinoic acid is a bioactive metabolite of vitamin A that plays important roles in cellular differentiation, embryonic development, and immune system regulation. This small molecule acts as a ligand for nuclear retinoic acid receptors, influencing gene transcription and cellular processes including apoptosis, proliferation, and tissue homeostasis. Retinoic acid signaling pathways are necessary for proper organ formation during embryogenesis. They also continue to regulate adult tissue maintenance and repair mechanisms.

The Human Retinoic Acid ELISA Kit (CSB-E16712h) provides quantitative measurement of retinoic acid in human samples using a competitive assay principle. This kit requires 50-100 μL sample volume and can be completed within 1-5 hours. Detection is performed at 450 nm wavelength, allowing researchers to analyze retinoic acid levels in various biological specimens from Homo sapiens samples.

Application Examples

Note: The following application examples are drawn from a selection of publications citing this product. For additional applications, please refer to the full list of references in the "Citations" section.

This Human Retinoic Acid ELISA Kit has been used in diverse research applications focused on cellular metabolism, vitamin A pathway analysis, and immune system studies. The kit allows quantitative measurement of retinoic acid levels in cell lysates and biological samples to study metabolic processes and cellular responses. Research applications span from basic cellular biology to infection-related immune responses.

Cellular metabolism research: Analysis of retinol dehydrogenase activity and vitamin A metabolic pathway analysis in cultured cells

Q:

Per customers request, please provide the following information regarding Human Retinoic Acid ELISA Kit (CSB-E16712h)
a. What were the antibodies used in this kit raised against?
b. What is the standard? (Recombinant full-length protein? Partial protein
c. (range?)?, peptide (sequence range?), native protein?)
e. If recombinant protein, then what is the host?
f. Is the capture antibody a monoclonal or polyclonal?
g. What is the host of the capture antibody?
h. What is the immunogen of the capture antibody?
i. Is the detection antibody a monoclonal or polyclonal?
j. What is the host of the detection antibody?
k. What is the immunogen of the detection antibody?
l. Can this assay be used with another species besides human?

A:
Thanks for your inquiry! CSB-E16712h This kit is based on competitive method. Retinoic Acid is small molecule. The plate is coated with specific antibody for Retinoic Acid. It is mouse monoclonal antibody and immunogen is modified by special modification. Sorry we can not disclose how it is modified. The antigen in the sample and HRP conjugated antigen compete to bind with the specific antibody. Standard is purified Retinoic Acid small molecule.
Since for different species the sample matrix is different, we have developed Retinoic Acid elisa kits for different species. We suggest you choose the corresponding kit so as to avoid matrix interference.
