Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of mouse NT-proBNP in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) is a cardiac biomarker released from ventricular cardiomyocytes in response to increased wall tension and volume overload. As the inactive N-terminal fragment of the brain natriuretic peptide precursor, NT-proBNP serves as a stable indicator of cardiac stress. Cardiovascular researchers commonly use this biomarker to measure heart failure, ventricular dysfunction, and cardiac remodeling processes.
This quantitative sandwich ELISA kit detects mouse NT-proBNP in serum and plasma samples with a detection range of 0.156 ng/mL to 10 ng/mL and sensitivity of 0.039 ng/mL. The assay requires 50-100 μL sample volume and can be completed within 1-5 hours, with measurements taken at 450 nm wavelength.
Application Examples

This ELISA kit has been applied in cardiovascular research to measure cardiac injury and dysfunction through NT-proBNP levels in mouse models. The kit provides a useful tool for evaluating heart damage in experimental studies that examine cardioprotective interventions and drug-induced cardiotoxicity.
• Cardiac injury measurement: Used to evaluate heart damage in mouse models by measuring NT-proBNP as a biomarker of cardiac dysfunction
• Cardiotoxicity studies: Applied in research examining drug-induced cardiac injury and potential protective interventions
• Cardiovascular biomarker research: Used alongside other cardiac markers to comprehensively measure heart function and injury in experimental settings
• Plasma biomarker analysis: Applied for quantitative measurement of NT-proBNP in plasma samples collected from experimental mouse models
