Precision

Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<12%

Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.

Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<15%

Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Linearity

To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of mouse ANG-Ⅱ in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Description

Angiotensin II is a potent vasoactive peptide hormone that plays a central role in the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, regulating blood pressure, fluid balance, and cardiovascular homeostasis. Angiotensin-converting enzyme cleaves angiotensin I to produce this octapeptide hormone. It exerts its biological effects primarily through binding to angiotensin II type 1 and type 2 receptors. Beyond its cardiovascular functions, angiotensin II influences aldosterone secretion and sympathetic nervous system activity. Researchers have linked it to various pathological processes including hypertension, heart failure, and renal disease.

The Mouse angiotensin II ELISA Kit (CSB-E04495m) provides quantitative measurement of angiotensin II in mouse samples using a sandwich assay principle. This kit works with multiple sample types including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, and tissue homogenates. The detection range spans 0.45-30 pg/mL with sensitivity of 0.11 pg/mL. The assay requires 50-100 μL sample volume and completes within 1-5 hours. Detection occurs at 450 nm wavelength for reliable quantification of this important vasoactive peptide in Mus musculus specimens.
