Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<15%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<15%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
Linearity
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of pig Apo-A1 in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Target Data

Function Participates in the reverse transport of cholesterol from tissues to the liver for excretion by promoting cholesterol efflux from tissues and by acting as a cofactor for the lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT). As part of the SPAP complex, activates spermatozoa motility.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Alterations in the Apo A-I pattern is a good indicator of the presence and severity of infectious diseases in the pig.Lower overall amounts of Apo A-I were observed in Salmonella typhimurium and Escherichia coli infections. PMID: 25377528
  2. blood level decreases during experimentally induced acute-phase processes in pigs PMID: 15845530
  3. down-regulation of apolipoprotein A-I and A-IV messages in the liver may be mediated by interleukin 6 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha PMID: 15878672
Subcellular Location Secreted
Protein Families Apolipoprotein A1/A4/E family
Tissue Specificity Major protein of plasma HDL, also found in chylomicrons. Synthesized predominantly in the intestine and the liver.
