The ABCB1 monoclonal antibody is created by immunizing mice with recombinant human ABCB1 protein (350-710aa) and then fusing the mouse B cells with mouse myeloma cells to generate hybridoma cells. ABCB1 antibody-secreting hybridomas are selected to culture in the mouse abdominal cavity. The ABCB1 monoclonal antibody is purified and isolated from the mouse ascites using protein A affinity chromatography to achieve a purity of over 95%. It is an unconjugated IgG2b antibody that can specifically recognize human ABCB1 protein and is well-suited for use in ELISA, WB, IF, and FC applications.
ABCB1 protein, also known as P-glycoprotein (P-gp), is a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter family that plays a critical role in the efflux of a wide range of endogenous and xenobiotic compounds out of cells. It is highly expressed in various tissues including the intestine, liver, and kidney, where it acts as a primary gatekeeper to prevent the entry of harmful substances into the body or promote their removal from the body.
