Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description

CD58 mediates T cell costimulation through its interaction with CD2, a pathway critical to immune synapse formation and tumor immune evasion mechanisms. This recombinant fragment spanning residues 29–215 demonstrates quantifiable binding to immobilized CD2 with an EC50 of 337.0–430.1 ng/mL in functional ELISA, providing a validated reagent for cell adhesion assays investigating lymphocyte-target cell interactions and for antibody development programs targeting the CD58–CD2 axis. Mammalian expression ensures native glycosylation patterns that preserve the conformational epitopes required for accurate binding kinetics in immune cell trafficking studies and tumor metastasis models.
