The non-structural polyprotein polyclonal antibody is generated through immunization of a rabbit with recombinant Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus (strain Trinidad donkey) (VEEV) non-structural polyprotein (amino acids 27-167). A booster antigen injection is subsequently administered to boost antibody production. Afterward, blood serum containing non-structural polyprotein polyclonal antibodies is collected and purified using protein G. Thorough validation through ELISA and WB assays has confirmed the non-structural polyprotein antibody's specific recognition of Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus (strain Trinidad donkey) (VEEV) non-structural polyprotein protein.
The VEEV non-structural polyprotein is translated from the viral RNA and subsequently processed into these individual non-structural proteins, each of which contributes to various aspects of the viral replication cycle. Together, these non-structural proteins enable the virus to replicate its genome, transcribe viral RNA, and establish a productive infection in the host, ultimately leading to the production of new virus particles.
