Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info The following tags are available.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form Lyophilized powder
Buffer before Lyophilization Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Protein FAQs
Storage Condition Store at -20°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Data

Function Inhibitor of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMP) signaling. Controls somitogenesis by sequestering the BMP-4 activity which in turn differentiates distinct subtypes of the mesoderm along the mediolateral axis.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Noggin overexpression resulted in disrupted cord organization, and dilated sinusoidal space, eventually leading to increased apoptosis and failed hepatocyte differentiation. PMID: 26173507
  2. The expression level of Noggin (together with other cartilage expressed BMP antagonists) is a landmark in the transition between the chondrogenic and fibrogenic response to BMPs in the differentiation of connective tissues. PMID: 24038612
  3. Study demonstrates that MyoD expressing cells serve as a Noggin delivery system to regulate the morphogenesis of the lens and optic cup. PMID: 19778533
  4. Noggin and Shh are both required in order to change the future amnion into a feather-bearing skin. PMID: 15269169
  5. Noggin overexpression inhibits G1/S transition and blocking G1/S abrogates Bone Morphogenetic Proteins-induced delamination; moreover, transcription of Wnt1 is stimulated by BMP and by the developing somites PMID: 15456730
  6. results show that inhibition of BMP4 by noggin results in a reduction of embryonic blood vessels PMID: 15766751
  7. In Noggin -/- embryos, the gross anatomy of the inner ear is distorted and malformed, with cochlear duct outgrowth and coiling most affected. PMID: 17900554
  8. increased Bmp4-Wnt1 signaling through Nog inhibition in the caudal-most NT at E4/HH24 induces proneurogenic markers in migratory NCCs, suggesting that noggin plays a role in the lack of neurogenic potential characterizing the caudal-most NCCs. PMID: 19369402
