Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
3-7 business days
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Description

To produce recombinant EBV LMP1 protein, a well-established recombinant DNA technology is the key. A DNA template of LMP1 was constructed with N-terminal 6xHis tag using the technique. Once the template was made, the recombinant EBV LMP1 protein could be produced with it efficiently. CUSABIO has built a strict QC system to ensure quality. The expression region is 185-386aa of the EBV LMP1. The purity of this recombinant is 90% determined by SDS-PAGE.

LMP1 (BNLF1) is a protein coding gene that encodes Latent membrane protein 1. According to some studies, LMP1 may have the following features.
The Epstein-Barr virus transforming protein LMP1 engages the signaling proteins of the tumor necrosis factor receptor family. Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen 2 can transduce the latent membrane protein LMP1. Clonality and tumorigenicity of human epithelial cells expressing the Epstein-Barr virus-encoded membrane protein LMP1. LMP1 is known to be an oncogene in rodent fibroblasts and induces B lymphocyte activation and cell adhesion molecules in the Epstein-Barr virus-negative Burkitt's lymphoma cell line Louckes. Differences between LMP1 transcript and protein detection in NPC and highlight the role of EBV miRNAs in regulating LMP1 downstream signaling to promote cancer development. The subsequent loss of LMP1 expression may affect sites of persistent latent infection.

Target Background

Function
Acts as a CD40 functional homolog to prevent apoptosis of infected B-lymphocytes and drive their proliferation. Functions as a constitutively active tumor necrosis factor receptor that induces the activation of several signaling pathways, including those of the NF-kappa-B family. LMP1 signaling leads to up-regulation of antiapoptotic proteins and provide growth signals in latently infected cells. Interacts with host UBE2I and subsequently affects the sumoylation state of several cellular proteins. For example, induces the sumoylation of host IRF7 thereby limiting its transcriptional activity and modulating the activation of innate immune responses. Inhibits also host IFN-alpha-stimulated STAT2 nuclear translocation and interferon-stimulated response element transcriptional activity by interacting with and inhibiting host TYK2.
Subcellular Location
Host cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Protein Families
Herpesviridae LMP-1 family
