Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Basically, we can dispatch the products out in 1-3 working days after receiving your orders. Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Description

A full-length Helicobacter pylori Urease subunit beta (ureB) ORF (1-569aa) with an N-terminal 6xHis-tag was expressed in the yeast. The forming protein is the Recombinant Helicobacter pylori ureB protein. This ureB protein was verified by SDS-PAGE and LC-MS/MS Analyses. Its purity is greater than 90%. It has a calculated molecular mass of 63.7 kDa. This recombinant ureB protein may be used as an immunogen for specific antibody production or in the studies of gastritis and gastric cancer.

UreB is a structural subunit of urease that is critical to the metabolism and virulence of Helicobacter pylori. Urease is also necessary for Helicobacter pylori's colonization of the gastric mucosa and is a potent immunogen that triggers a vigorous immune response. Chronic Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection to gastric mucosa is a common cause for gastritis and increases the risk of gastric cancer.

Target Background

Function
Ammonia produced by ureolysis increases the gastric pH thereby providing an environment permissive for colonization of the stomach.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Helicobacter urease-induced activation of the TLR2/NLRP3/IL-18 axis protects against asthma. PMID: 26214524
Subcellular Location
Cytoplasm. Note=Also associates with the outer membrane upon autolysis of neighboring bacteria.
