E.coli expressed Recombinant Human Arylacetamide deacetylase(AADAC) is a partial-length protein containing 376 amino acids. It carries a 10xHis-SUMO-tag at the N-terminus and a Myc-tag at the C-terminus. Its expression region is the 24-399aa of the human AADAC protein. The LC-MS/MS Analysis validated its identity and SDS-PAGE determined its purity. Its purity is greater than 90%. This protein is in-stock so that it will reach your lab bench faster. In addition to serving as an immunogen for antibody synthesis, the recombinant AADAC protein may also be used to investigate whether it is involved in the breakdown of certain drugs.
AADAC is a serine hydrolase that widely catalyzes the hydrolysis of some clinically used drugs. AADAC is primarily expressed in the human intestine and liver and is responsible for the hydrolysis of flutamide, phenacetin, and rifampicin. It is closely related to kidney failure and hepatotoxicity in some patients after taking flutamide or phenacetin.

Review: Hydrolytic rate in HIM was about 20% of value for HLM. They further observed that CES1 and CES2 were involved in anordrin hydrolysis, but not AADAC.
