Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol.
If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw
cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature
and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized
form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Description
Amino acids 19-224 constitute the expression domain of recombinant Human DKK4. The calculated molecular weight for this DKK4 protein is 27.2 kDa. Expression of this DKK4 protein is conducted in e.coli. The DKK4 coding gene included the N-terminal 6xHis tag, which simplifies the detection and purification processes of the recombinant DKK4 protein in following stages of expression and purification.
Dickkopf-related protein 4 (DKK4) is a member of the Dickkopf (DKK) family, known for its role as an antagonist of the Wnt signaling pathway. Wnt signaling plays a crucial role in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and development. DKK4 specifically inhibits Wnt/β-catenin signaling by binding to the Wnt co-receptor LRP5/6 and preventing its interaction with Wnt ligands. This interference negatively regulates the canonical Wnt pathway, influencing cellular processes like embryonic development and tissue homeostasis. DKK4 has been implicated in tumorigenesis, where dysregulation of Wnt signaling is often observed.
