Storage Condition

Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shelf Life

The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Notes

Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

I have a question about the protein. Is that sold after the aseptic process?

If you have demand for aseptic manufacture processing, then please remark this information when placing the order.
Meanwhile, please confirm whether you plan to use this protein in cell culture. If yes, then Endotoxin Removal is also needed.

Thanks for helping me. I will use the protein for competitive binding assays. So after giving a thought for some time, we are thinking that maybe it is better that we do not do aseptic process as it might alter the protein’ activity.

Generally, the aseptic processing does not affect activity of protein. We generally filter protein with a 0.2 μm filter membrane to remove larger volume of bacteria.
This operation does not affect the protein itself. On the contrary, sterilization is beneficial for the preservation of protein.
Of course, this entirely depends on your wishes, and if you care about this operation, we can prepare this protein WITHOUT aseptic processing.
You plan to use this protein for competitive binding assays, and the main concern is the sites of competition.
As you do not plan to perform cell experiments, endotoxin removal and aseptic processing are not required.
