Description
The expression region of this recombinant Human PLXNA4 covers amino acids 25-521. The theoretical molecular weight of the PLXNA4 protein is 60 kDa. The PLXNA4 protein was expressed in e.coli. The N-terminal 6xHis tag was fused into the coding gene segment of PLXNA4, making it easier to detect and purify the PLXNA4 recombinant protein in the later stages of expression and purification.
Human Plexin-A4 (PLXNA4) is a transmembrane receptor protein that belongs to the plexin family. PLXNA4 plays a crucial role in axon guidance during neural development. It interacts with semaphorins, a family of proteins that mediate repulsive axon guidance cues. Through its signaling activities, PLXNA4 influences neuronal migration and connectivity. Beyond the nervous system, PLXNA4 is also implicated in cancer progression, angiogenesis, and immune responses. The intricate functions of PLXNA4 in various physiological and pathological processes make it a subject of interest in neuroscience, oncology, and immunology research, offering insights into potential therapeutic targets.
