Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Shelf Life

The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.

Description

VEGF165, the predominant pro-angiogenic isoform in human physiology, drives endothelial cell proliferation and vascular permeability through high-affinity receptor engagement, making quantitative assessment of its binding kinetics essential for angiogenesis research and antibody development. This mammalian-expressed protein spanning residues 27–191 demonstrates robust receptor interaction, binding immobilized FLT1 (VEGFR-1) with an EC50 of 28.72–33.22 ng/mL in functional ELISA, a result that supports its use in receptor-ligand competition assays, surface plasmon resonance studies, and cell-based angiogenesis models including endothelial tube formation and wound healing experiments. The same preparation binds an anti-VEGFA monoclonal antibody with an EC50 of 0.68–0.84 ng/mL, providing a quantitative benchmark for antibody characterization, neutralization assays, and ELISA standard curve generation.
