Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
May function as a signal transduction protein involved in the differentiation of fibroblasts into adipocytes and possibly other cell types. Plays a role in ciliogenesis. Posseses phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate-dependent GTPase-activating protein activity for ARF1 (ADP ribosylation factor 1) and ARF5 and a lesser activity towards ARF6. May coordinate membrane trafficking with cell growth or actin cytoskeleton remodeling by binding to both SRC and PIP2.
Gene References into Functions
  1. these data indicated that ribosomal protein S19 polymer plays the roles in the early erythroblast differentiation of C57BL/6J mouse spleen PMID: 29017823
  2. results support the hypothesis that ASAP1 is a positive regulator of NM2A. PMID: 26893376
  3. we demonstrate that Prox1 and Asap1 behave as negative regulators of mammary stem/progenitor function. Both of these genes have also been implicated in oncogenesis. PMID: 25879659
  4. ASAP1 was suggested to negatively regulate lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced proinflammatory mediators production through down-regulating LPS signaling PMID: 21644032
  5. DEF-1 alters cell motility through the deactivation of ARF1. In contrast, the inhibition of cell spreading by DEF-1 was not dependent on GAP activity, indicating that spreading and motility are altered by DEF-1 through different pathways. PMID: 11773070
  6. association with focal adhesion kinases contributes to the process of focal adhesion assembly PMID: 12058076
  7. inhibited by tyrosine kinase Pyk2, which also regulates Arf1 PMID: 12771146
  8. Overexpression of ASAP1 inhibits cell spreading and alters paxillin localization to adhesions. PMID: 15632162
  9. ASAP1 may function as a coincidence detector of simultaneous protein association through the ASAP1 SH3 domain and phosphorylation by Src. PMID: 17893324
  10. ASAP3 functions nonredundantly with ASAP1 to control cell movement and may have a role in cancer cell invasion. PMID: 18400762

Subcellular Location
Cytoplasm. Membrane. Note=Predominantly cytoplasmic. Partially membrane-associated.
Tissue Specificity
Expressed in all tissues examined but a most abundant expression was found in the testis, brain, lung and spleen. A heightened expression was seen in the adipose tissue from obese (ob) and diabetic (db) animals.
