Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Possible involvement in extravasation of leukocytes.
Gene References into Functions
  1. ADAM8 on leukocytes holds a proinflammatory function in acute lung inflammation by promoting alveolar leukocyte recruitment. PMID: 28596294
  2. The important role of ADAM8 in the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma induced by diethylnitrosamine in mice PMID: 25585999
  3. ADAM8 mediates an enhanced invasiveness of neutrophils into injured muscle fibers by the removal of their adhesiveness to blood vessels after infiltration into interstitial tissues. PMID: 25511460
  4. ADAM8 has anti-inflammatory activities during allergic airway inflammation in mice PMID: 23670189
  5. overexpression of PrP(C) led to up-regulation of ADAM8, suggesting that PrP(C) may regulate its own alpha-cleavage through modulating ADAM8 activity. PMID: 22447932
  6. ADAM-8 appears to favour allergen-induced acute airway inflammation by promoting dendritic cell recruitment and CCL11 and CCL22 production. PMID: 21268008
  7. ADAM8 knockout mice did not display a bone phenotype in vivo but they did not increase RANKL production, OCL formation, or calvarial fibrosis in response to tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha) in vivo. PMID: 20683884
  8. ADAM8 is involved in T cell maturation in the medulla but has a relatively minor impact on T cell development. PMID: 20856819
  9. It regulates onset of blood cirlation. (review) PMID: 21077325
  10. The results of this study indicated an essential role for ADAM8 in modulating TNF-alpha signaling in CNS diseases PMID: 20826683
  11. The study finds an increase in retinal re-vascularization but fewer neovascular tufts in the oxygen-induced retinopathy model and increased growth of heterotopically injected tumor cells in Adam8-/- mice compared with wild-type controls. PMID: 20119708
  12. ADAM8 plays a proinflammatory role in airway inflammation. PMID: 20194813
  13. ADAM8 processing by autocatalysis leads to a potential sheddase and to a form of ADAM8 with a function in cell adhesion PMID: 12372841
  14. ADAM8 could contribute to ectodomain shedding of CD23 and may thus be a potential target for therapeutic intervention in allergy and inflammation. PMID: 12777399
  15. Adam8 was identified as the command gene of the group in WT (WildType) and Mmp2 in KO (connexin43-null) mice. PMID: 14756057
  16. ADAM8 plays an important role in physiological and pathological cell interactions by a specific release of functional cell adhesion molecule CHL1 from the cell surface PMID: 14761956
  17. ADAM8 is an allergen-, IL-4-, and IL-13-induced gene in the experimental asthmatic lung. Taken together with the role of ADAM33 in asthma, these results suggest that allergic lung responses involve the interplay of diverse members of the ADAM family PMID: 15087305
  18. developmental expression analysis of ADAM8 in mice PMID: 15580619
  19. observations suggest that a disintegrin and metalloproteinase (ADAM)-8,-9,-10,-12,-15,and -17 play an important role in mouse uterine tissue remodelling during the oestrous cycle PMID: 15907280
  20. ADAM8-mediated shedding of vascular cell adhesion molecule might be important for the suppression of experimental asthma PMID: 16154205
  21. These results suggest that regulated metalloprotease-induced ectodomain shedding of NCAM down-regulates neurite branching and neurite outgrowth. PMID: 16967505
  22. ADAM8 is expressed in a stage-specific manner and is hormonally regulated in ovulating follicles by the coordinate actions of LH and PGR PMID: 18287572
  23. These data suggest that ADAM8 is vascular selective and plays a role in proliferation and/or migration of endothelial cells during angiogenesis following spinal cord injury. PMID: 19003792
  24. Upregulation of ADAM8 in the airways of mice with allergic bronchial asthma. PMID: 19373511
