ADAM8

ADAM8, also known as A Disintegrin and Metalloprotease Domain-containing Protein 8, is commonly referred to as CD156a. It belongs to the ADAM protein family, which is involved in diverse biological processes. ADAM8 functions by cleaving membrane - bound substrates, thus regulating cell - cell and cell - matrix interactions. It participates in several important signaling pathways like the Notch pathway, influencing cell development and differentiation.
