Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Required for perception of chronic pain through NMDA receptor signaling. Regulates surface expression of NMDA receptors in dorsal horn neurons of the spinal cord. Interacts with the cytoplasmic tail of NMDA receptor subunits as well as inward rectifying potassium channels. Involved in regulation of synaptic stability at cholinergic synapses. Part of the postsynaptic protein scaffold of excitatory synapses.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Study describe a novel splice variant of Dlg2 gene termed Dlg2eta and define the differential expression pattern of DLG2 isoforms in IFNbeta-producing plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs). The presence of DLG2eta protein in the CNS of Dlg2 mice might influence the phenotype of these mice and has to be taken into account in the interpretation of results regarding the functional role of DLG2 in neuronal postsynaptic membr... PMID: 29703139
  2. Study found robust hypersocial behavior in the dyadic interaction test in both PSD95(+/-) males and females. Additionally, male PSD95(+/-) mice exhibited higher levels of aggression and territoriality, while female PSD95(+/-) mice showed increased vocalization upon exposure to an anesthetized female mouse. Both male and female PSD95(+/-) mice revealed mild hypoactivity in the open field but no obvious motor deficit. PMID: 28189758
  3. This study demonstrated that in Chronic social defeat stress leads to changes PSD-93 in hippocampus of young mice. PMID: 27609644
  4. New DLG2 gene models for human and mouse. The work brings evidence for the lack of cross-annotation in human versus mouse reference genomes and nucleotide versus protein databases. PMID: 28724449
  5. PSD-93 knockout led to downregulation of Cox-2 and iNOS expression, and increase in the mRNA levels of IL-10 following ischemic brain injury. PMID: 27259312
  6. This study identified four proteins SynGAP, Syntaxin-1A, VDLC, and PKCbeta differentially expressed between PSD-93 KO and WT mice 4 h after tMCAO PMID: 26680505
  7. Downregulation of nAChR subunit and PSD-93 expression after cavernous nerve injury, or even manipulation, could interrupt synaptic transmission within the MPG and thus contribute to the loss of neural control of urogenital organs after pelvic surgeries. PMID: 24049141
  8. Membrane-associated guanylate kinase homolog PSD-93 is a central organizer of the postsynaptic density at excitatory synapses on pyramidal neurons. PMID: 21031555
  9. These data show critical roles for psd-93 and interactions with NMDA receptor subunits in organizing the differential expression in rafts and postsynaptic densities of synaptic signaling complexes. PMID: 20554866
  10. Since NMDARs, Ca(2+), and NO play a critical role during the development of brain trauma, seizures, and ischemia, the present work suggests that PSD-93 might contribute to molecular mechanisms of neuronal damage in these brain disorders. PMID: 20097270
  11. PSD-93 deficiency in knock-out mice results in a decrease in the minimum alveolar anesthetic concentration of halothane. PMID: 20460989
  12. PSD-93 serves as a membrane-anchored substrate of Fyn and plays a role in the regulation of Fyn-mediated modification of NMDA receptor function PMID: 13129934
  13. PSD93 containing complexes regulates synaptic stability at neuronal cholinergic synapses. PMID: 14724236
  14. PSD-93 appears to mediate tyrosine-phosphorylation of the NMDA receptors PMID: 18423999
  15. PSD-93 deficiency significantly decreased the amount of NR2A and NR2B in the synaptosomal membrane fractions PMID: 18851757
  16. PSD-95 and PSD-93 have distinct roles in synaptic plasticity, perhaps through differential recruitment of signalling molecules to the NMDA receptor. PMID: 18936077
