Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Specific growth arrest protein involved in growth suppression. Blocks entry to S phase. Prevents cycling of normal and transformed cells.
Gene References into Functions
  1. that Gas1 is a direct target of NeuroD1 during the induction of the neurogenic program PMID: 29395133
  2. Gas1 is expressed and released by neurons and promotes differentiation PMID: 29110208
  3. Western blot and immunofluorescence analyses showed two GIP-anchored proteins were clearly involved in the fertilisation process, namely growth arrest specific 1 (Gas1) and glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor receptor alpha1 (Gfralpha1). This was demonstrated by evaluating oocyte fertilisability after treatment of oocytes with antibodies against the selected proteins, with their respective short interference RN... PMID: 28442042
  4. Findings provide evidence for a dual requirement for Boc and Gas1 during early development of the palate, mediating cell cycle regulation during growth and subsequent fusion of the palatal shelves. PMID: 27811357
  5. The results suggest that in diabetes the decrease of Gas1 promotes the activation of parietal progenitor cells of Bowman's capsule that might differentiate into podocytes and compensate their loss observed in this pathology. PMID: 28315934
  6. Up-regulation of inducible Gas1 contributed to the apoptosis of reactive astrocytes in injured substantia nigra. PMID: 27391369
  7. The C/EBP target Gas1 is induced in granulosa cells and is associated with ovulation and luteinization. PMID: 26740594
  8. the overexpression of Gas1 (growth arrest specific 1) gene reduces the size, proliferating activity and malignancy of liver tumors. PMID: 26161998
  9. WT1 modulates receptor tyrosine kinase signaling in nephron progenitor cell by directing the expression of Gas1. PMID: 25804736
  10. When Shh is presented as a point source, enteric axons turn away from it in a Gas1-dependent manner. PMID: 25535338
  11. We demonstrated that tGas1 has an antineoplastic effect, and the results support the potential of tGas1 as an adjuvant for the treatment of gliomas PMID: 24529556
  12. widespread distribution and cellular localization of the GAS1 native protein in adult mammalian CNS PMID: 23813868
  13. finding that Gas1 is transcribed at the G(1)/S transition suggests that the gene may exert a novel function during cell proliferation. PMID: 21858068
  14. Gas1 promotes myogenic differentiation through regulation of cell cycle arrest and is critical to activate p38MAPK PMID: 21820049
  15. Genetic loss-of-function of GAS1, CDO, and BOC in SHH is associated with defective neural patterning. PMID: 21664576
  16. Gas1 is related to the GDNF alpha receptors and regulates Ret signaling PMID: 16551639
  17. GAS1 acts cooperatively with Patched1 for Hedgehog binding and enhances signaling activity in a cell-autonomous manner. PMID: 17504940
  18. Gas1 and Cdo cooperate to promote Shh signaling during neural tube patterning, craniofacial, and vertebral development PMID: 17504941
  19. Loss of a single Shh allele in a Gas1(-/-) background significantly exacerbated the midline craniofacial phenotype, providing genetic evidence that Shh and Gas1 interact. PMID: 17525797
  20. Gas1 has all the expected properties of a melanoma tumor suppressor: suppression of metastasis in a spontaneous metastasis assay, promotion of apoptosis following dissemination of cells to secondary sites, and down-regulation in human melanoma metastasis. PMID: 18981472
  21. Results provide evidence that HPE associated with this mutation can be mechanistically explained by a severely reduced binding of SHH to GAS1. PMID: 19478089
