Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Binding to cells via a high affinity receptor, laminin is thought to mediate the attachment, migration and organization of cells into tissues during embryonic development by interacting with other extracellular matrix components.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Data (including data from studies in knockout mice) suggest that Lama4 is involved in regulation of energy metabolism, regulation of adiposity, and development of beige adipose tissue; here, Lama4 knockout mice exhibit significantly improved insulin sensitivity compared with wild-type mice, suggesting improved metabolic function. PMID: 28973559
  2. Results showed maintained perturbed transmission properties at lama4(-/-) NMJs from adult (3 months) through to aged (18-22 months). Hind-limb grip force demonstrated similar trends as transmission properties, with maintained weaker grip force across age groups in lama4(-/-). Interestingly, both transmission properties and hind-limb grip force in aged wild-types resembled those observed in adult lama4(-/-). PMID: 28301326
  3. Lama4-/- NMJs demonstrated a decrease in miniature end-plate potential (EPP) frequency and increased amplitude of miniature EPPs and evoked EPPs. PMID: 27998908
  4. laminin alpha4 influences adipose tissue structure and function in a depot-specific manner. PMID: 25310607
  5. Laminins affect T cell trafficking and allograft fate. PMID: 24691446
  6. synaptic laminin are required to maintain adult neuromuscular junctions. PMID: 23056392
  7. most of the integrin-mediated cell adhesive peptides are located in the loop regions in the G domains, suggesting that structure is important for the integrin specific recognition PMID: 22391228
  8. simultaneous deletion of collagen type XV from neural basement membrane zones with laminin alpha4 leads to a phenotype distinct from those of both single knock-outs PMID: 20980607
  9. The role of basement membrane laminin alpha4 in leukocyte recruitment to inflammatory loci, is addressed. PMID: 20483922
  10. Failure of laminin alpha4-mediated down-regulation of PDGF activity contributes to the progressive renal lesions in this animal model. PMID: 20035058
  11. biological functions of the laminin alpha 4 chain G domain and screening of active sites PMID: 12130633
  12. heparin-binding activity of laminin alpha4 laminin-G-like domain 4 PMID: 15182231
  13. The activity of a cyclic peptide from a region of laminin alpha 4 on the connecting loop between the E and F strands is highly conformation-dependent, suggesting that the E-F loop structure is crucial for its biological activity. PMID: 15491165
  14. peptides from the laminin alpha4 chain G domain promote neurite outgrowth activity via a specific conformation PMID: 15823034
  15. mutation in the laminin alpha4 chain leads to abnormal cardiovascular extracellular structure that cause insufficient oxygen supply to the heart in cardiomyopathy PMID: 16204254
  16. These results suggest that the cryptic alpha4 LG4-5 fragment derived from the laminin alpha4 chain inhibits de novo adipogenesis by modulating the effect of FGF-2 through syndecans. PMID: 18067585
  17. These results show that laminins alpha4, alpha5, and beta2 play an autocrine role in coordinating post- with presynaptic maturation. PMID: 18794334
  18. LM alpha4 and beta2 have roles in in vitro migration and in vivo tumorigenicity of prostate cancer cells PMID: 19048114
  19. Laminin alpha4 is needed for the stability of newly formed blood vessels and may play a role in angiogenesis. PMID: 11809810
