Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Seems to play a role in the regulation of RhoA GTPase by guanine nucleotide-binding alpha-12 (GNA12) and alpha-13 (GNA13) subunits. Acts as GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for GNA12 and GNA13, and as guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for RhoA GTPase. Activated G alpha 13/GNA13 stimulates the RhoGEF activity through interaction with the RGS-like domain. This GEF activity is inhibited by binding to activated GNA12. Mediates angiotensin-2-induced RhoA activation. Isoform 3 and isoform 4 do not homooligomerize and show an enhanced RhoGEF activity.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Arhgef1 controls the process of neurite formation in newborn cortical neurons derived from neural progenitor cells PMID: 27923664
  2. these findings reveal that Arhgef1 functions as a negative regulator of neurite outgrowth through regulating RhoA-cofilin pathway and actin dynamics. PMID: 27489999
  3. Upon beta(2)AR activation, both betaArrestin2 and p115RhoGEF translocate to the plasma membrane, with concomitant activation of RhoA and formation of focal adhesions and stress fibers. PMID: 22500016
  4. Thromboxane receptor signaling is required for fibronectin-induced matrix metalloproteinase 9 production by human and murine macrophages and is attenuated by the Arhgef1 molecule. PMID: 22086927
  5. Results show that PKC-alpha phosphorylation of p115RhoGEF mediates TNF-alpha signaling to RhoA, and that this plays a critical role in signaling F-actin rearrangement and barrier dysfunction in endothelial cells. PMID: 21473788
  6. lsc/p115 deficiency results in impaired neuronal innervation and in motor dysfunction recapitulating several aspects of esophageal achalasia. PMID: 20600037
  7. results show that control of RhoA signaling through Arhgef1 is central to the development of angiotensin II-dependent hypertension and identify Arhgef1 as a potential target for the treatment of hypertension PMID: 20098430
  8. First, Lsc homo-oligomerizes and is negatively regulated through domains in its C terminus; and second, functionally distinct isoforms of Lsc lacking these domains are present in the spleen. PMID: 12773540
  9. Lsc is essential for mediating TXA(2 )signaling involved in apoptosis and actin organization and suggest that TXA(2) regulates thymic cellularity via Lsc. PMID: 15884057
  10. Lsc is a RhoA guanine nucleotide exchange factor that binds the heterotrimeric G-protein alpha-subunits, Galpha12 and Galpha13. PMID: 16263795
  11. lsc(-/-) marginal-zone B cells do not traffick appropriately in an immune response PMID: 16286020
  12. T cells depend on Arhgef1 to promote lung inflammation, and a deficiency in Arhgef1 results in reduced T cell-CD11c+ antigen-presenting cell interaction PMID: 17463415
  13. These data demonstrate that Lsc regulates integrin-mediated adhesive events at the trailing edge of migrating cells. PMID: 18157933
  14. Replacement of key residues in this motif with their counterparts in p115RhoGEF confers GAP activity. PMID: 18940608
