Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Receptor for Slit proteins, at least for SLIT2, and seems to be involved in angiogenesis and vascular patterning. May mediate the inhibition of primary endothelial cell migration by Slit proteins. Involved in the maintenance of endothelial barrier organization and function.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Robo4 inhibits angiogenesis and vessel permeability independently of its cytoplasmic domain. Robo4 deletion enhances permeability and revascularization in oxygen-induced retinopathy (OIR) and accelerates cutaneous wound healing. PMID: 27882935
  2. endothelial Robo4 signaling is important for suppressing breast cancer growth and metastasis, and it can be targeted (enhanced) by administrating a small molecular drug. PMID: 26778715
  3. Robo4 vaccines induce antibodies that retard tumor growth. PMID: 25348086
  4. Robo4 and Src family kinases are involved in the mechanisms of embryonic vascular defects caused by the Hrt/Hey deficiency. PMID: 25264302
  5. These results clearly indicate that Robo4 plays a role in hematopoietic stem cells trafficking such as bone marrow homing and peripheral mobilization. PMID: 23226403
  6. our results showed an important role of Robo4 in the regulation of cortical radial migration through Slit-dependent and -independent mechanisms PMID: 22123939
  7. Data found that expression of Slit2 and SDF1 were dynamically regulated in mesenchymal stem cells and OBC-like populations following radiation, while Robo4 expression was restricted to endothelial cells. PMID: 22313734
  8. augmenting the host Robo4/Slit2 system could provide a useful therapeutic approach to control pathological angiogenesis associated with HSV induced stromal keratitis PMID: 21572022
  9. Robo4 specifically binds to UNC5B, a vascular Netrin receptor, revealing unexpected interactions between two endothelial guidance receptors. PMID: 21238923
  10. Activating with the soluble ligand Slit an endothelium-specific, Robo4-dependent signaling pathway that strengthens the vascular barrier, diminishing deleterious aspects of the host's response to the pathogen-induced cytokine storm. PMID: 20375003
  11. enhanced growth of blood vessels in Robo4(-/-) endothelium is due to activation of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-R2 signaling through the Src and FAK kinases. PMID: 20498081
  12. Robo4 is a bona fide member of the Robo family and may provide a repulsive cue to migrating endothelial cells during vascular development. PMID: 12941633
  13. Robo4 is expressed in hematopoietic stem cells (HSC), and Robo4/Slit2 signaling may play a role in HSC homeostasis in the bone marrow niche. PMID: 18927479
  14. Robo4 mRNA level decreases during vascular decline in pulmonary fibrosis. PMID: 17496152
