Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag-Free
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form Lyophilized powder
Buffer before Lyophilization Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition Store at -20°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
(From Uniprot)
Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase that functions autonomously after Ca(2+)/calmodulin-binding and autophosphorylation, and is involved in sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca(2+) transport in skeletal muscle and may function in dendritic spine and synapse formation and neuronal plasticity. In slow-twitch muscles, is involved in regulation of sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) Ca(2+) transport and in fast-twitch muscle participates in the control of Ca(2+) release from the SR through phosphorylation of the ryanodine receptor-coupling factor triadin. In neurons, may participate in the promotion of dendritic spine and synapse formation and maintenance of synaptic plasticity which enables long-term potentiation (LTP) and hippocampus-dependent learning (By similarity).
Gene References into Functions
  1. miR-219-5p plays a crucial role in alleviating morphine tolerance by inhibiting the CaMKII/NMDA receptor pathway. Overexpression of miR-219-5p may be a potential strategy to ameliorate morphine tolerance. PMID: 28423675
  2. Those results showed that we successfully constructed one adenovirus vector that can infect the dorsal root ganglion neuron to inhibit the CaMKIIgamma mRNA and protein expression. That will supply with one cell model for the CaMKIIgamma function study. PMID: 27685016
  3. CaMKII gamma, besides phosphorylation through the known ras-raf-mek pathway, can regulate also dephosphorylation of p44/p42 by modulation of MKP-1 level. PMID: 25007998
  4. Study reports a mechanism that mediates long-distance communication within cells: a shuttle that transports Ca(2+)/calmodulin from the surface membrane to the nucleus; the shuttle protein is gammaCaMKII, its phosphorylation at Thr287 by betaCaMKII protects the Ca(2+)/CaM signal, and CaN triggers its nuclear translocation. PMID: 25303525
  5. CaMKIIgamma is required for the CaMKII-dependent regulation of ASK1, affecting the apoptosis of a biologically important cell type under spinal cord injury. PMID: 23504235
  6. translocation of CaM and CaMKII from the cytoplasm to the nucleus serves as messengers to transmit the pathogenic signal elicited in the surface membrane and in the RyR2 to the nuclear transcriptional sites to activate hypertrophy. PMID: 20433809
  7. Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase IIdelta 2 and gamma isoforms regulate potassium currents of rat brain capillary endothelial cells under hypoxic conditions PMID: 11925434
  8. Involvement of Ca(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II in Ca(2+)-dependent mechanisms of the maintenance phase of the observed epileptiform activity. PMID: 12457733
  9. DY-9760e inhibits endothelin-1-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy through inhibition of CaMKII and ERK activities. PMID: 19207476
