Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Target Data

Function Involved in sphingolipid trafficking. May recycle sphingolipids between cellular membranous compartments.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Authors show that yeast cells lacking Ncr1p, an orthologue of mammalian NPC1, exhibited a higher sensitivity to hydrogen peroxide and a shortened chronological lifespan. PMID: 24286211
  2. Results identify the first phenotype caused by deletion of NCR1 from the yeast genome, resistance to the ether lipid drug, edelfosine. PMID: 16138904
Subcellular Location Vacuole membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein
