Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
This is a receptor for glucagon-like peptide 2. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase.
Gene References into Functions
  1. These results suggest that PAS-CPPs-GLP-2 is effective for i.n. delivery to the brain, and may be useful in the clinical treatment of major depression PMID: 27894924
  2. Results suggest that GLP-2 protected and improved memory function in LPS-treated mice, and also had anxiolytic effects due to changes in the 5-HT system. PMID: 25481797
  3. Report gastrointestinal GLP-2 receptor andl limited utility of GLP-2 in the management of inflammatory intestinal disorders. PMID: 24875097
  4. GLP-2 plays a key physiological role in the control of hepatic glucose production through activating PI3K-dependent modulation of membrane excitability and nuclear transcription of POMC neurons in the brain. PMID: 23823479
  5. Data suggest a role for endogenous GLP2 (glucagon-like peptide-2) and GLP2R in adaptation of mucosa of duodenum and jejunum to high-fat diet; results suggest dysregulation of GLP2/GLP2R signaling in obesity due to prolonged high-fat diet. PMID: 23308022
  6. The data indicated that CNS GLP-2 receptor plays a physiological role in the control of feeding behavior and gastric emptying and that this is mediated probably through the melanocortin system. PMID: 22829581
  7. Data suggest that the Vip gene is not required for induction of a gene expression program linked to small bowel growth after enhancement of GLP-2 receptor signaling. PMID: 22535770
  8. Disruption of the murine Glp2r impairs Paneth cell function and increases susceptibility to small bowel enteritis PMID: 22253424
  9. Data show that the GLP-2R is expressed by inhibitory and excitatory neurons, and inhibits the muscle contractility likely by decreasing cholinergic neurotransmission and increasing nitric oxide production. PMID: 21752156
  10. GLP-2R is not critical for the stimulation/suppression of glucagon secretion or glucose homeostasis in normal or lean diabetic mice. In obese mice GLP-2R signaling mediates the normal islet adaptive response required to maintain glucose homeostasis. PMID: 20546737
  11. Glucagon-like peptide-2 potentiates L-type voltage-gated Ca(2+) channels activity through activating cAMP-dependent protein kinase A signaling, partially stimulating glucose uptake by primary cultured hippocampal neurons. PMID: 19920220
  12. Glp2r and ErbB pathways as essential components of the signaling network regulating the adaptive mucosal response to refeeding in the mouse intestine. PMID: 20226187
  13. GLP-2 in the gut acts by activating receptors on the subepithelial myofibroblasts, causing the release of growth factors, which in turn stimulate intestinal growth PMID: 15544847
