Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Receptor for arginine vasopressin. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylate cyclase. Involved in renal water reabsorption.
Gene References into Functions
  1. type-2 vasopressin receptor in polycystic kidney disease is targeted by green mamba peptide PMID: 28630289
  2. Data show that upon heteromer formation with secretin receptor (SCTR), R137H, a nephrogenic diabetes insipidus (NDI)-causing vasopressin receptor 2 (AVPR2) mutant that is defective in trafficking to cell surface, can functionally be rescued. PMID: 27649563
  3. Conditional inactivation of Elf5 in the developing collecting ducts results in a small but significant reduction in the expression levels of Aqp2 and Avpr2 genes. PMID: 28215940
  4. Data show that cryptochrome Cry1 and Cry2 expression must be circadian and appropriately phased to support rhythms, and arginine vasopressin (AVP) receptor signaling is required to impose circuit-level circadian function. PMID: 26903624
  5. In polycystic kidney disease, structural or functional loss of cilia leads to abnormal trafficking of AQP2/V2R leading to enhanced salt and water absorption. PMID: 22205228
  6. AVPR2 expression levels in the kidneys of male TALLYHO/JngJ mice, independent of diabetes disease state, were significantly reduced compared with those of B6 mice. PMID: 21879339
  7. V(2)R mRNA was expressed in medullary TAL (MTAL), macula densa, connecting tubule, and cortical and medullary collecting duct, and was weakly expressed in cortical TAL and distal convoluted tubule in rat, mouse, and human PMID: 17626156
  8. The data support roles for multiple vasopressin V2-receptor-dependent signaling pathways in the vasopressin signaling network of collecting duct cells, involving several kinases not generally accepted to regulate collecting duct function. PMID: 20139300
  9. NF-kappaB activation is of importance for the downregulation of AQP2 channel and vasopressin V(2) receptor expression during sepsis. NF-kappaB inhibition ameliorates sepsis-induced acute renal failure. PMID: 19828675
  10. a single amino acid difference in the first extracellular loop determines the efficiency of cell surface expression PMID: 11923476
  11. analysis of pharmacochaperone cell surface delivery with a three-dimensional homology model of the antagonist-bound hV2R PMID: 15319430
  12. RNA interference methodology can be used successfully in vivo to significantly reduce functional expression of the V2R in the mouse kidney. PMID: 15784697
  13. Pax transactivation domain-interacting protein is required for the urine concentration mechanism by modulating arginine vasopressin receptor 2 and AQP2 expression in the inner medulla. PMID: 17429055
  14. RGS2 is involved in negative feedback regulation of V2R signaling PMID: 17475820
  15. Determine expression of VR1/VR2 receptors in early heart maturation. PMID: 17630342
  16. Nav and Cav conductances, along with a more positive inactivation voltage of the Nav current in the V2r1b vomeronasal sensory neurons, contributed to the larger spike amplitude and higher spike frequency induced by depolarizing current PMID: 17715188
  17. Gene expression changes in nephrogenic diabetes insipidus V2 receptor deficient mice indicate increased proximal tubular sodium reabsorption PMID: 18715941
  18. Describe VRQ397 (CRAVKY), a potent noncompetitive antagonist of V2R, which exhibits functional selectivity, in line with properties of a negative allosteric modulator. PMID: 19641130
