Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Essential for normal retinal maturation and development. Acts as a retinal cell surface receptor for NXNL1 and plays an important role in NXNL1-mediated survival of retinal cone photoreceptors. In association with glucose transporter SLC16A1/GLUT1 and NXNL1, promotes retinal cone survival by enhancing aerobic glycolysis and accelerating the entry of glucose into photoreceptors.; Signaling receptor for cyclophilins, essential for PPIA/CYPA and PPIB/CYPB-dependent signaling related to chemotaxis and adhesion of immune cells. Plays an important role in targeting the monocarboxylate transporters SLC16A1/GLUT1 and SLC16A3 to the plasma membrane. Acts as a coreceptor for vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (KDR/VEGFR2) in endothelial cells enhancing its VEGFA-mediated activation and downstream signaling. Promotes angiogenesis through EPAS1/HIF2A-mediated up-regulation of VEGFA and KDR/VEGFR2 in endothelial cells. Plays an important role in spermatogenesis; mediates interactions between germ cells and Sertoli cell and is essential for the development/differentiation of germ cells to round spermatids.
Gene References into Functions
  1. EMMPRIN overexpressing subventricular zone neural progenitor cells invade ischemic cortical tissue more efficiently than controls. PMID: 28716558
  2. Upregulation of extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer (OX47) in rat dorsal root ganglion contributes to the development of mechanical allodynia after nerve injury. PMID: 26697232
  3. EMMPRIN regulates pressure ulcer healing by controlling the collagen content and angiogenesis rather than MMPs activity. PMID: 26261551
  4. EMMPRIN expression was increased following fluid percussion injury. EMMPRIN increased expression was temporally correlated with an increase in MMP-9 levels. CD147 and MMP-9 may play a role in vascular injuries after TBI. PMID: 24968091
  5. EMMPRIN/CD147-regulated metalloproteinases MMP-2 and MMP-14, associated with low MMP-3, appear as the main characteristics of extracellular matrix remodeling in early overused tendons. PMID: 23404084
  6. basigin may be involved in acute myocardial ischemia following continual ischemia for >30 min. PMID: 23525302
  7. EMMPRIN mediates induction of uterine and vascular matrix metalloproteinases during pregnancy. PMID: 23856290
  8. EMPRIN and cyclophilin-A play roles in the maturation of dental hard tissue and the formation of a molar eruption pathway. PMID: 22139963
  9. EMMPRIN and VEGF may play a role in radiation injuries of the central nervous system after gamma knife surgery PMID: 22379341
  10. High Extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer is associated with pediatric medulloblastoma. PMID: 21448785

  15. These results raise the possibility that the increased expression of EMMPRIN, the increase in MMPs and the damage of the basal lamina following cerebral ischemia are connected and part of a network of related changes. PMID: 16029217
  16. bleomycin-induced lung injury is associated with an increase in CD147 expression and MMP activity, particularly in alveolar epithelial cells. our data exclude any functional interaction between CD147 & alveolar epithelial caveolin-1. PMID: 16733664
  17. These findings suggest that in the myocardium the regulated expression of EMMPRIN is a determinant of MMP activity and may thus play a role in myocardial remodeling. PMID: 17869266
  18. at low to moderate doses of rt-PA the microvascular basal lamina collagen IV was protected, probably due to inhibition of MMP-2 and MMP-9 by the upregulation of TIMP1, TIMP2, and EMMPRIN PMID: 18000599
