Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
G protein-coupled receptor for follitropin, the follicle-stimulating hormone. Through cAMP production activates the downstream PI3K-AKT and ERK1/ERK2 signaling pathways.
Gene References into Functions
  1. The results of this study support the notion that by inhibiting eIF5A hypusination, FSH reduces the expression of an LHCGR mRNA-binding protein (LRBP), and then this increases LHCGR mRNA expression by abrogating the inhibitory action of LRBP. PMID: 28605466
  2. Data indicate that sustained follicle stimulation by luteinizing hormone (LH) decreases follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) receptor mRNA levels and FSH receptor signaling and inhibits FSH-induced follicular growth. PMID: 23709086
  3. In 20-day-old rat Sertoli cells, transmembrane cell PGs, through tethering/activation of PP2A activity exerts regulatory control on both FSH receptor/Gs coupling and ERK phosphorylation. PMID: 23500014
  4. Zuoguiyin could improve the ovarian functions during peri-menopause by up-regulating the expression of FSHR. PMID: 20535929
  5. The data suggested that, during prepubertal Sertoli cell maturation, the ability of FSH receptor to respond to FSH is significantly augmented and is associated with the robust differentiation of repopulating spermatogonia. PMID: 22850685
  6. report of inhibition of FSHR expression by WT1 in ovarian tissue; inhibition probably occurs via direct interaction with the FSHR promoter PMID: 22431408
  7. Used immunohistochemistry to study the expression of FSH-R in rat and human ductuli efferentes and the caput, corpus, and cauda epididymis, and by Western blot analysis in the caput and cauda epididymis of rat. PMID: 20467586
  8. MyH9 constitutively forms a ternary complex with FSH-R and inactive GDP-bound G alpha h. PMID: 20068007
  9. Findings support the concept that thyroid hormone regulates ovarian follicular development and promotes FSH-induced preantral follicular growth through up-regulation of FSHR, a mechanism dependent on the expression and action of oocyte-derived GDF-9. PMID: 19833718
  10. Identification of a short linear sequence present in the C-terminal tail of the rat follitropin receptor that modulates arrestin-3 binding in a phosphorylation-independent fashion PMID: 11934883
  11. differences in hydrophobic interactions between transmembrane domains 6 and 7 of the rat and human FSH receptors PMID: 12145341
  12. downregulation of FSH-FSHR PMID: 12907758
  13. FSH transcytosis across the testicular endothelial barrier is receptor-mediated and involves luminal uptake via coated pits, sorting at the level of luminal early endosomes, and transcellular transport through transcytotic tubulo-vesicular organelles PMID: 15050368
  14. OCT-1 binds within DHS3 to silence Fshr transcription, an activity that involves members of the GATA family PMID: 15817654
  15. FSH up (1.8-fold) regulates its receptor level only in the immature Sertoli cells and not in the adult. PMID: 16406266
  16. FSH receptor expression was demonstrated by RT-PCR and Northern and Western blot analyses in the cauda region of rat epididymis PMID: 16598027
  17. These data reveal that distal regulatory regions are required for appropriate temporal and spatial Fshr expression and implicate the identified evolutionary conserved regions in transcriptional regulation of Fshr. PMID: 17097219
  18. bioneutralization of FSHR has been achieved by targeting its region 285-309 PMID: 17280718
  19. Inhibin A is capable of feedback antagonizing FSH action on GCs by reducing FSHR expression at ovarian level via a short feedback loop. Transcriptional factor receptors, such as SF-1, AR and DAX-1 were involved in this regulation. PMID: 18992787
  20. Results indicate that the charged amino acids present in follicle stimulating hormone receptor peptide (20-30) are crucial for its follicle stimulating hormone antagonistic activity. PMID: 19152639
