Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Receptor for arginine vasopressin. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylate cyclase. Involved in renal water reabsorption.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Chronic vasopressin V2R antagonism may contribute to the worsening of PAH and the development of RV remodeling. PMID: 26924211
  2. Regulation of V2 receptor by vasopressin PMID: 26335823
  3. Data suggest that vasopressin receptors V1b (Avpr1b) and V2 (Avpr2) in neurons of cerebral ventricles mediate stress-induced baroreflex desensitization enabling concurrent hypertension and tachycardia. PMID: 23488898
  4. the presence of an increased AVP sensitivity in the CDs from CHF rats, associated with an acquired recycling ability of the V2 receptor PMID: 24089411
  5. There was no change in V receptor expression during the development of hypertension. PMID: 23246465
  6. V2 receptors in the alveolar epithelium of adult rat regulate alveolar fluid clearance. PMID: 22700868
  7. role of beta-arrestins downstream of a transactivation event is not limited to the V2R, because we observed a similar involvement for an unrelated GPCR (the platelet-activating factor receptor) indicating that it may be a general mechanism shared among GPCRs PMID: 22493236
  8. Chronic treatment with V2 receptor antagonist tolvaptan prevents the progression of left ventricular dysfunction and renal injury in hypertensive rats with heart failure. PMID: 22628529
  9. The receptor expression in accessory olfactory bulb neurons is independent of the interaction with AOB neurons in the early developmental stage, but is maintained by the active interaction with accessory olfactory bulb neurons. PMID: 21679749
  10. Confocal microscopy of isolated inner medullary collecting duct tubules showed that the V2R is expressed both intracellularly and in basolateral membrane domains. PMID: 17553938
  11. Female rats express significantly more vasopressin V2 receptor mRNA and protein in kidneys than males, resulting in a greater sensitivity to vasopressin V2 receptor agonists. PMID: 21123493
  12. Localized aquaporins and vasopressin type 2 receptor (V2-R) in the stria vascularis to evaluate the role of the AQP water channel system in water homeostasis of the SV. PMID: 19796672
  13. chronic stimulation of vasopressin V2 receptor raises basal blood pressure in rats and exacerbates the development of DOCA-salt hypertension, organ damage, and mortality PMID: 12072411
  14. Increased amounts of renal medulla V2 receptors in spontaneously hypertensive rats play an important role in the pathophysiology of hypertension. PMID: 12566855
  15. These results suggest that arginine-vasopressin (AVP) induces the translocation of placental leucine aminopeptidase (P-LAP) via V2 vasopressin receptors, and that P-LAP plays a role in the regulation of AVP levels in the renal collecting duct. PMID: 12709058
  16. The inflammatory response to acute endotoxemia down regulates V2 VP receptors and aquaporin-2 of the kidney inner medulla resulting in prolonged impairment of the renal capacity to concentrate urine. PMID: 14675036
  17. functional impairment of renal concentrating ability in aged rats that is not due to impaired secretion of AVP but appears to be related to impaired responsiveness to AVP that is secondary to a downregulation of renal V2R expression and AQP2 abundance. PMID: 15213068
  18. V2 vasopressin receptor has a role in inhibiting signaling through its interaction with receptor dimer and G protein PMID: 15452133
  19. Reduced expression of aquaporin-2 and V(2)-receptor led to impairment of concentration capacity in the kidneys and decrease in urine osmolarity in acute inflammation. PMID: 15723124
  20. Expression of V(2)R is first detectable in the late embryonic stage of rat ontogeny starting from day E18 and gradually increasing with kidney maturation and in the adult, V(2)R is differentially distributed in the various nephron segments. PMID: 16014025
