Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description

CCL6 (also known as Small-inducible cytokine A6) is a CC chemokine implicated in monocyte and macrophage recruitment during inflammatory and immune responses in the rat, making it a valuable tool for dissecting chemotactic signaling through CCR1. This tag-free recombinant protein, encompassing the full-length mature sequence (residues 22–115) produced in *E. coli*, demonstrates confirmed biological activity in a chemotaxis bioassay using human CCR1-transfected BaF3 cells at 10–100 ng/ml, providing a suitable basis for migration assays, CCR1-dependent signaling pathway studies involving MAPK or NF-κB activation, and in vivo rat models of inflammation or infection. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound immune cell functional readouts, while purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE supports use as a reliable reference standard in cytokine detection assays or as a positive control antigen for antibody validation by ELISA and Western blot.
