Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description

Lymphotactin (XCL1) is the sole C-class chemokine, uniquely possessing a single disulfide bond and signaling exclusively through XCR1 to recruit specific immune cell subsets. This tag-free recombinant rat XCL1, encompassing the full mature sequence (aa 22–114), demonstrates potent chemotactic activity with an ED50 below 100 ng/ml in XCR1-transfected BaF3 migration assays, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 1.0 × 10⁴ IU/mg. These functional data support use in chemotaxis and transwell migration assays, XCR1 signaling pathway dissection, in vivo rat models of dendritic cell trafficking and inflammation, and as a reference standard in cytokine detection platforms. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the stringent criteria required to prevent LPS-driven artifacts in sensitive immune cell functional assays.
