Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess. |
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human IL-15 in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

This human IL15 ELISA kit employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique to measure the levels of human IL15 in multiple samples, including serum, plasma, or tissue homogenates. It also uses the enzyme-substrate chromogenic reaction to visualize and analyze the analyte levels through the color intensity. The intensity of the colored product is in direct proportion to the IL15 levels in the sample and is measured at 450 nm through a microplate reader.
IL15 is a pleiotropic cytokine that is mainly produced by macrophages, monocytes and DCs and plays an important role in innate and adaptive immunity. It is especially involved in lymphocyte and NK cell functioning and homeostasis. IL15 signals through a receptor complex composed of the IL2/IL15 receptor β (CD122) and the common γc receptor subunit (CD132). IL15 is highly expressed in skeletal muscle and has also been identified as an anabolic factor. It participates in muxles-adipose tissue interaction. IL15 also exhibits pro-inflammatory potential and is involved in the pathogenesis of several autoimmune diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis (MS).
