Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human IL-7 in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of interleukin-7 (IL-7) in human samples, supporting research into lymphocyte development, T-cell homeostasis, and immune reconstitution. Because circulating IL-7 levels are typically low and fluctuate inversely with lymphocyte counts, precise detection across both steady-state and lymphopenic conditions demands a carefully calibrated assay.
Detection Range: The 1.56–100 pg/mL range spans physiological serum IL-7 concentrations in healthy adults (~5–15 pg/mL) through the elevated levels observed during lymphopenia, HIV-associated CD4 depletion, or post-chemotherapy immune recovery. Most serum and plasma samples can be assayed neat, minimizing dilution-related variability.
Sensitivity: At 0.39 pg/mL, the kit detects IL-7 in low-abundance contexts such as unstimulated stromal cell culture supernatants or samples from individuals with intact lymphocyte pools where IL-7 is consumed rapidly and circulates at single-digit pg/mL concentrations.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and cell culture supernatants enables researchers to correlate systemic IL-7 availability with local production in thymic or bone marrow tissue and in vitro stromal co-culture systems within a single study.
Assay Efficiency: Requiring only 50–100 µL per well and 1–5 hours to complete, the kit accommodates limited clinical specimens from lymphopenic patients and supports same-day data acquisition from time-course experiments.
This kit is well suited for studies of immune reconstitution following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, HIV pathogenesis, and T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
